Every episode we ask our fellow nerds to try and stump us with their nerdy trivia at the live recording. We usually take 3 questions each time, and sometimes we get stumped. Our walk of shame is YOUR victory lap! So, revel in this moment, you earned it!
Episode 293 where we talk the Game of the Year, this time, it includes everything, from Mainstream to Underground. And since Mack is always behind the times with AAA games, we bring on SpenaceTheMenace, a familiar face in the community, and co-host of Ruckus and The Menace Podcast (and YT channel) to help us tackle what the best games of 2023 were.
Episode 292 where we give our top 5 indie games of 2023! This past year, we were honored to receive games from indie developers to discuss on our show. While we talked about them each of them after we played them, we had to take time to commemorate the ones that really stuck with us. Listen to find out just who those were!
December went off the rails so fast! NiceGuy has a multi-week business trip, and I am helping some of my family move across the country! And wouldn’t you know it, that is going to keep us out of commission till January. Which is such a bummer because of all of the unbelievable gaming news going on right now. But there is one thing that I can handle, and need to share, and that is a big ol serving of Mack Was Wrong. Have a wonderful holidays, and keep it Nerdy!
While Episode 290 was recorded as per usual, I could not edit it this week. But fear not, your regularly scheduled programming will be posted over the weekend! As a consolation prize we do have something for you: a reading of perhaps the MOST important supreme court decision about video games! This was the case decided in 2011 that started out with Schwarzenegger and ended with Brown, challenged by the EMA. It decided that Video Games should be given the same protections that any book or movie was given at the time. While MisterNiceGuy likes to say it on the show, its nice to know that it is also the official stance of the Legal system of the United States: Video Games Are Art. This is just a reading of the opinion itself, but there was also a concurrence, as well as two dissents, which we hope to share with you soon as well. Have a wonderful week!
Episode 289 where we talk about Launch Parties done right, Full Void, a Retro-Future Space Sim, what we are thankful for, why Epic is STILL not your friend, and more!
Episode 288 is a slightly shorter episode, but still PACKED with news; we talk Steamdeck OLED, Game Awards, Star Wars Battlefront II’s Unique contribution to videogame history, and more!
